EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports database design, development, and operations that serve the Pennsylvania State Police and other Public Safety IT Delivery Center partners. You will help ensure reliable data systems that support critical public safety functions. As a Data Administrator 1, you will perform the following duties:

Database Design: Support database structure planning and development to meet application needs

Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models and dictionaries to ensure consistency and accuracy

Performance Support: Monitor and tune database performance to improve reliability and efficiency

Security Oversight: Administer access controls and apply security standards to protect sensitive data

Data Integration: Develop processes to extract, transform, and load data between systems

Operational Support: Assist with deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting across database environments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework)part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
