Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Support food preparation by assisting with basic tasks such as ingredient handling and assembly under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, floors, sinks, and storage spaces through regular cleaning routines
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment for guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, trays, or boxes of supplies while adhering to proper lifting techniques
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support catering and banquet setups by transporting supplies and maintaining cleanliness during events
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with knowledge of food handling and service procedures
- Strong knife skills for basic food prep tasks when needed
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Experience in dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining high standards of hygiene in busy kitchens
- Knowledge of catering or banquet operations is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude to support a fast-paced culinary environment
