Independent Contractor Medical Transportation Driver
Same Day Services Medical Transport, LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Independent Contractor Drivers to provide safe, reliable, non-emergency medical transportation for seniors and adults requiring assistance getting to and from medical appointments.
Our drivers do more than provide transportation—they offer peace of mind. You’ll assist clients from their homes to appointments, remain available during appointments when requested, and ensure clients return home safely. Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments.
- Provide courteous, compassionate, and professional customer service.
- Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle when appropriate.
- Escort clients to appointment check-in areas when needed.
- Wait with clients during appointments as assigned.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding schedules and trip updates.
- Ensure vehicles remain clean, organized, and presentable.
- Accurately document completed trips using company systems.
- Follow all HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections before each shift.
- Represent Same Day Services Medical Transport, LLC with professionalism at all times.
Skills & QualificationsRequired
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Reliable, well-maintained vehicle
- Current automobile insurance
- Smartphone with reliable internet access
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to safely assist elderly and mobility-limited clients
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Punctual, dependable, and organized
Preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Experience in healthcare, caregiving, transportation, or customer service
- Wheelchair transport experience is a plus (not required)
