American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, working night shifts with at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience required.

Work setting is a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed Level III Trauma Center
-
Unit is part of the Medical Surgical Combination 2 department
-
Patient population includes all ages
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
On-call required as needed
-
Floating to similar Med/Surg units may be required as needed

EMR: Meditech
-
Medication dispensing via Omnicell
-
Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact license) required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
-
IV insertion experience required
-
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

13-week contract

Orientation takes place weekly on Mondays

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted

Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

All candidates must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
