Los Alamos JJAB is seeking a part-time One Circle Facilitator. The program utilizes the Boys Council and Girls Circle models and serves to empower youth, by improving their self-esteem and teaching communication and decision-making skills, through the evidence-based curriculum.
This position will average 5-10 hours per week when facilitating sessions during the school year. Summer hours are estimated to be 5 hours per week, but are not guaranteed. Schedule is flexible, but must be available to work daytime, after school, and early evening hours during the week.
The facilitator will utilize approved One Circle curriculum to lead 3 - 4 various groups each school semester and 1 - 2 specialty groups during the summer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in group facilitation with youth and/or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proven organizational, record-keeping, and project management skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to speak in public
- Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and pass multiple background checks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in Girls Circle or Boys Council training through One Circle Foundation
- Experience collaborating with public school staff and administration
- Experience working with youth and families of vulnerable/underserved populations
