Position - Mechatronics Technician
Location - Moreland GA
Pay - $31.07 an hr
Shift - Morning, Afternoon and Nights
About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving automated material handling, packaging, and distribution equipment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment, including conveyors, belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, sensors, and related components.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging and distribution systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities and accurately document maintenance work completed.
- Support equipment uptime and reliability through timely response to breakdowns and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain and manage maintenance department inventory, tools, and spare parts.
- Assist with equipment inspections and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to maximize equipment performance.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow safety and maintenance procedures.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or automated facility environments.
- Experience troubleshooting conveyors, motors, controls, sensors, and material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages and measurements.
- Experience using powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Exposure to automation, robotics, mechatronics, or controls systems is a plus.
