Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, demonstrations, and selections to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
- Manage cash drawer handling efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and well-organized store environment
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products according to planograms and store standards
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience or cashiering skills preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and change management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling and sales processing
- Knowledge of retail store product details, inventory stocking procedures, and merchandising principles
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform physical tasks associated with stocking and store maintenance
