<Overview>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanic Shop Manager to oversee daily fleet repair and maintenance. In this role, you will combine your mechanical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure efficient shop performance, and high-quality repairs.
<Duties>
- Manage daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Supervise and support other mechanic, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to uphold high standards of workmanship.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and repair processes, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality expectations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance logs for accountability and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and shop policies to create a secure working environment for all staff.
- Communicate clearly regarding repair needs, timelines, and costs to foster trust and satisfaction.
<Requirements>
- Must have CDL and pass a drug screen.
- Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or automotive repair with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Hands-on proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lead effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and workflow management.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to vehicle repair shops and familiarity with industry best practices.
