As a Trucking Dispatch Coordinator, you’ll be the key link between customers, drivers, and carriers—making real-time decisions that keep operations running smoothly.
We’re a 24/7 operation, so flexibility is important—but in return, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a high-demand industry with real opportunities to grow.
What You’ll Do
- Run the overnight - early morning shift 2:00 am - 10:00 am.
- Coordinate daily transportation needs, ensuring customer requirements are executed accurately and on time
- Dispatch and manage company drivers while updating systems for time-sensitive freight (JIT and SPD)
- Handle incoming requests from customers and carriers via phone and email—adjusting routes and schedules as needed
- Communicate clearly with drivers, providing instructions to ensure successful, on-time deliveries
- Monitor routes and proactively adjust driver schedules to meet changing demands
- Step in quickly to manage urgent or emergency shipments
- Capture and update load details through systems like Omnitracs and direct driver communication
- Collaborate with the material planning team to align transportation with daily production needs
- Maintain accurate data in transportation management systems
- Track and update key transportation metrics
- Research and resolve issues, providing timely updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and support process improvements to make the transportation network more efficient
What You Bring
- 1–5 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field
- Strong communication skills—you can coordinate across drivers, customers, and internal teams with confidence
- Ability to stay organized and make decisions in a fast-moving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
