Hotel Indigo Jacksonville, part of the globally recognized IHG Hotels & Resorts family, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector to help ensure our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.
The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet IHG brand standards, supervising housekeeping staff, and maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies.
Supervise and support the daily activities of room attendants and housepersons.
Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
Monitor and maintain housekeeping inventory, including linens, towels, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies.
Assign daily work schedules and prioritize tasks based on occupancy and hotel needs.
Train, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and guest service expectations.
Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards and hotel policies.
Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the engineering department for timely repairs.
Monitor employee productivity and provide performance feedback.
Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally.
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Assist with laundry operations and housekeeping duties as needed.
Complete daily reports and communicate department updates with hotel management.
Previous housekeeping supervisory or inspection experience in a hotel preferred.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills and inventory management experience preferred.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
