An international manufacturer in the Houston, TX area is looking for a Production Associate for the position of Fusion & Bending Technician to work the1st Shift (6:00 am-3:00 pm M-F) or 2nd Shift (12:00 pm-9:00 pm M-F). The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience and be able to safely operate warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities of the Fusion & Bending Technician include but are not limited to:
· Operate warm-up and shut-down of manufacturing equipment
· Monitor process equipment and clean or flush lines of manufacturing heating tanks according to work instructions
· Notify manager of any mechanical or material issues
· Properly record inventory transactions and manage raw chemicals from receiving through the manufacturing process
Requirements of the Fusion & Bending Technician:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Relevant work history in warehousing or factory production experience
· Must follow safety disciplines daily and be able to operate manufacturing equipment
· This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 40 pounds, lift in excess of 40 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
Preferred skills & knowledge for the Manufacturing Specialist:
· Mathematical and technology competency
· OSHA 10 and other warehouse safety protocols for handling chemical raw materials
This position includes working in a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
