Assurgent Medical Staffing is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Locum Tenens Physician Recruiter to join our growing team in Atlanta, Georgia.
This is a fast-paced, high-energy recruiting position focused on placing physicians and advanced practice providers in temporary locum tenens assignments nationwide. The ideal candidate is competitive, motivated by performance, and enjoys building strong relationships while helping healthcare facilities solve critical staffing shortages.

Responsibilities
- Source and recruit physicians and advanced practice providers for locum tenens assignments nationwide
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and online sourcing strategies
- Conduct candidate outreach, screening interviews, and credentialing coordination
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers and clients
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through assignment placement
- Coordinate interviews, availability, travel discussions, and assignment logistics
- Negotiate compensation packages and assignment details with providers
- Maintain accurate activity tracking within ATS and CRM systems
- Meet and exceed recruiting and revenue performance goals
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or business development
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, candidate sourcing, and ATS/CRM systems preferred
- Ability to confidently make outbound calls and build new relationships
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare staffing or locum tenens recruiting experience
- Experience working in a commission-based environment
- Knowledge of physician specialties and healthcare staffing trends

Work Location: In person – Atlanta, GA
Pay: $65,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
