Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our property management team, ensuring that our properties are well-maintained and that tenants receive exceptional service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of property management software and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of residential or commercial properties.
- Coordinate tenant communications and address inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant leases, payments, and maintenance requests using property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements related to property management.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to schedule repairs and upkeep of facilities.
- Assist in the leasing process by conducting property showings, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
- Support financial management tasks including rent collection and reporting on occupancy rates.
- Stay informed about local laws regarding real estate administration, Section 8 housing programs, and facilities management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and legal administrative processes is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- A background in sales or customer service is a plus.
- Understanding of facilities management principles is beneficial.
- A degree in real estate administration or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
