Ruff Dayz is looking to hire a part-time professional pet groomer. This position is commission based. We have a large established clientele base ready for you to jump right in. The opening is a flexible part-time schedule that could potentially turn into a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Provide extraordinary customer service with all customers
- Preform safe, caring and thorough pet handling, bathing, drying, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning and gland expression during start to finish grooms
- Maintain daily cleaning tasks within work area to assure the environment is safe for all pets
- Work diligently and respectfully with other groomers on site and other team members within the store
- Sustain job supplies and procedures
Qualifications
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have 2-3 years of experience
- Using own shears, clippers and hand tools is recommended but not required
- Familiar with most common breed cuts and pet styles
- Dependability, patience and initiative are musts for this position
- Candidate requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a fast paced team
- Required to understand animal behavior and conditions
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs and handle difficult dogs if needed
- Passion to create a friendly and safe environment for all pets in our care
