Delivery Driver – Job Responsibilities
Position Summary
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering packages to residential customers using their personal vehicle. Drivers begin each workday at the company office to pick up their assigned deliveries and complete their route independently. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the company office each morning to load assigned deliveries.
- Safely transport and deliver 40–60 boxes per day to residential addresses.
- Use a personal vehicle that is clean, reliable, and properly insured.
- Follow the assigned delivery route while maintaining an efficient schedule.
- Accurately track delivery progress throughout the day using the company's required tracking system or app.
- Ensure all assigned boxes are delivered to the correct address.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.
- Communicate promptly with the office regarding delivery issues, delays, or undeliverable packages.
- Follow all traffic laws and drive safely at all times.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday.
- Each workday begins at the company office and ends after the final assigned delivery has been completed.
Compensation
- Drivers are paid $3.00 per successfully delivered box.
- Expected daily delivery volume is 40–60 boxes, with earnings based on the total number of completed deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Personal vehicle in safe operating condition.
- Current automobile insurance meeting state minimum requirements.
- Reliable smartphone capable of using the required delivery tracking application.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes as required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet daily delivery expectations.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
