Primary Purpose:
Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and service heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the service area. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems. Follow our code of values every time company uniform is worn. This will ensure you'll have fun in the process and the customer will be happy with the company's HVAC services.
Certificaitons:
- EPA Certification
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and service techniques.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring and operating principles of motors.
- Knowledge of local codes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
Experience: Preferred but not necessary
- 1-3 years experience in HVAC fields.
- Greet every customer well dressed and in company uniform with a great mentality and attitude throughout each call.
- Wear only company approved uniforms daily when representing company when dispatched on calls.
- Listen to the customer's concerns and issues regarding their HVAC system not working to their expectations.
- Educate the customers on current condition of equipment or system as well as all products and services the company has to offer that can improve system efficiency, indoor air quality, reduce cost of operation, improve health, reduce cost of operation and cost of repairs.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including rooftop equipment.
- Potentially help to install new heating & air conditioning system and components.
- Relocate and expand existing HVAC systems as needed.
- Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and piping according to specifications and code.
- Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.
- Recieve and complete work orders and all necessary procedural paperwork for every dispatched call.
- Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
- Maintain truck inventory and company-owned tools, equipment, and materials.
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Work with residential homeowners as well as building principals/supervisors to complete service, maintenance and repairs.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Ability to be part of on-call rotation with other technicians and field calls after hours.
- Follow company procedures before, during and after each call to be as efficient as possible.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as well as maintaining company vehicles when needed.
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures and that equipment is in safe operation condition.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climing, etc.
- Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor.
- Obey all traffic laws while driving company vehicle.
- Wear shoe booties at all times in the customer's home or business.
- Have fun in the process because we all need to laugh on those hot days!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
