Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber for web and mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
- Design comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, performance, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback during software development cycles.
- Perform API testing utilizing RESTful services with tools such as Postman or REST-assured; validate data consistency with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB databases.
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases; collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues related to code bugs, system failures, or performance bottlenecks.
- Execute performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to assess system scalability under various load conditions; analyze results for optimization opportunities.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, defect reports using defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM; participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automation testing within a Software Quality Assurance (QA) environment; familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or C++, with scripting skills for test automation purposes.
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), and Selenium WebDriver for UI automation across web and mobile platforms.
- Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS applications; experience with Appium is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of APIs (RESTful & SOAP), web services architecture (SOA), and related testing tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN; experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets using SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) or PL/SQL for validating backend processes; strong troubleshooting skills for software defects.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to collaboration within cross-functional teams; ability to adapt quickly in an evolving environment.
