Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail and beverage service, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items like wines, spirits, or specialty cocktails to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, handling food safely, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling accurately, process payments swiftly, and balance registers at shift end
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing tabs
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; food handling certification is a plus
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles, or cashiering is highly desirable
- Commitment to food safety standards and sanitation practices
