Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and ensuring smooth service flow
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, food safety standards, and customer service protocols
- Oversee food handling, kitchen management, and food production to maintain high quality standards
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Monitor inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety management and sanitation practices
- Lead team training initiatives, conduct interviews for hiring new staff, and support staff development and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in basic math for cash handling and inventory calculations
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing hospitality teams or supervising restaurant staff
- Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, team leadership, and customer interactions
- Experience with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and health regulations
- Ability to manage shift schedules, oversee food production processes, and handle budgeting or profit & loss analysis
- Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in the food industry is highly preferred
