We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician II / Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support the daily operations, upkeep, and safety of our facilities.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician II / Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility support across multiple residential and clinical locations. This role works closely with leadership to ensure all buildings remain safe, functional, compliant, and welcoming for staff and clients.
This position is ideal for someone who has hands-on maintenance experience but is not necessarily seeking a supervisory role. Pay is based on experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and basic HVAC troubleshooting
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain maintenance logs
- Respond to work orders and facility repair requests in a timely manner
- Assist with room turnovers, furniture assembly, and facility setup projects
- Ensure facilities remain clean, safe, and compliant with company and regulatory standards
- Monitor building systems and identify maintenance concerns proactively
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when needed
- Assist with grounds maintenance, seasonal upkeep, and general property appearance
- Support emergency maintenance needs when necessary
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, residential treatment, hospitality, or behavioral health settings is a plus
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass background screening and drug screening in accordance with company policy
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
