Job Summary
Seeking an experienced, highly motivated Behavioral Health Operations & Growth Manager to help oversee daily operations, staff, compliance, referrals, intake, billing support, and program growth.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can manage multiple responsibilities, solve problems independently, supervise employees, build referral relationships, and help grow our mental health and addiction treatment programs.
The ideal candidate has experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare administration, office management, business development, or program operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office and program operations.
- Manage intake, scheduling, admissions, insurance verification, and client communication.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and supervise staff.
- Create staff schedules and ensure appropriate office coverage.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, documentation, and performance.
- Build referral relationships with hospitals, courts, probation departments, treatment centers, physicians, schools, shelters, social service agencies, and community organizations.
- Help increase client referrals and admissions.
- Conduct marketing, outreach, networking, and community engagement.
- Track referrals and follow up with referral sources.
- Assist with developing and growing MAT, IOP, outpatient mental health, substance use disorder, case management, CPST, TBS, psychosocial rehabilitation, and recovery-support services.
- Help grow sober-living, housing-placement, transportation, and community-support partnerships.
- Monitor missing notes, unsigned documentation, authorizations, rejected claims, and billing-related issues.
- Coordinate with clinical and billing staff to support accurate and timely claims.
- Help maintain compliance with OhioMHAS, The Joint Commission, Ohio Medicaid, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and payer requirements.
- Maintain organized personnel, credentialing, training, compliance, and program records.
- Assist with audits, surveys, corrective-action plans, policies, and quality-improvement activities.
- Monitor client satisfaction, missed appointments, retention, productivity, and program performance.
- Prepare regular reports for ownership regarding staffing, referrals, admissions, compliance, billing, and growth.
- Assist with opening and managing additional locations and programs.
Skills
- At least three years of management, leadership, or program-coordination experience.
- Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, social services, or a related field.
- Experience supervising, recruiting, hiring, and training employees.
- Knowledge of intake, scheduling, insurance verification, Medicaid, authorizations, documentation, billing, or claims.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through without repeated reminders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, hands-on environment.
- Proficient with electronic health records, Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, and electronic documentation systems.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between locations when needed.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
