Multi-craft Maintenance Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay: Up to $40.00/hour (DOE)
Position Summary
A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support the reliability and performance of processing and packaging equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize uptime and ensure efficient production.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and respond quickly to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, mixers, filling equipment, motors, gearboxes, and packaging machinery.
- Assist with PLC troubleshooting and basic controls diagnostics (Allen-Bradley experience preferred).
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with conveyors, motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated production equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- PLC troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
