Job description:
BAUHAUS HOUSTON – SECURITY / DOOR STAFF
We’re building a tight, reliable security team for one of Downtown Houston’s most respected house music venues.
We are a high-energy nightclub environment where awareness, good judgment, and professionalism are essential.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous security, nightclub, bar, or event experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual — if you're scheduled, you show up
- Strong presence and good communication skills
- Able to remain calm and de-escalate situations
- Good judgment when dealing with intoxicated or difficult guests
- Understands that security is about safety, not ego
- If physical intervention is necessary, able to use only the minimum force reasonably necessary
THE ROLE:
- Door control, ID checks, and guest interaction
- Maintaining crowd flow and safety inside the venue
- Working closely with management during peak hours
IMPORTANT : THIS IS NOT A SIT-DOWN JOB
Security staff must be standing, moving around, observing the crowd, and remaining attentive for the majority of the shift.
You must be comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and staying alert throughout the night. If you're looking for a job where you can sit down, or spend most of the night on your phone, this is not the position for you.
