San Diego County | In-Home Behavioral & Special Needs Support. Looking to hire compassionate caregivers to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
We are looking for caregivers with experience in behavioral support, DSP services,autism support, or related fields. This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, patient, safety-focused, and passionate about helping clients. As a Behavioral Support Caregiver, you will provide 1:1 in-home and community-based support for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs. Care may include safety supervision, behavior redirection, ADL assistance, and engagement activities.
Responsibilities
Support clients with daily living activities including hygiene, dressing, feeding, toileting, and supervision
Assist with emotional regulation, redirection, transition support, and de-escalation techniques
Provide safe support in home and community settings
Assist with sensory activities and engagement-based care
Document behaviors, incidents, and shift notes accurately
Communicate professionally with team
Preferred Experience in
DSP, caregiving,
Autism and behavioral support.
Candidates should be comfortable supporting individuals who may experience behavioral escalations, emotional dysregulation, elopement risk, sensory-seeking behaviors, or limited safety awareness.
Minimum 1 year of relevant caregiving or behavioral support experience
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass FBI/DOJ
Live Scan and a Negative TB test (company-sponsored)
