Position Overview
Event Security Officers are responsible for maintaining order, monitoring guest activity, enforcing venue policies, assisting patrons, and responding professionally to incidents or emergencies. Assignments may include:
- Sporting events
- Concerts and festivals
- Corporate events
- Private functions
- Community events
- High-profile venues and VIP assignments
Responsibilities
- Control access points and credential verification
- Conduct security patrols and monitor assigned areas
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and clients
- Observe and report suspicious or disruptive activity
- Assist with crowd management and de-escalation
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents
- Complete incident and activity reports accurately
- Work closely with supervisors, venue staff, and public safety personnel
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability highly valued
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus — but not required
