Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Process retail sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with precision.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to deliver quality dishes quickly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, counters, and food handling stations in compliance with health regulations.
- Upsell menu items by recommending specials or popular products to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or fast food environments with strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cashiering duties.
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, sanitation, and food safety management practices.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking between serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members alike.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately.
- Previous experience in culinary settings or café environments is highly desirable to support food industry operations.
