Job description:
The Director of Food Services is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and overseeing all operations of the Dietary Department to ensure the delivery of safe, nutritious, and high-quality food services for residents.
This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and sanitation standards.
Responsibilities include managing dietary staff, developing departmental policies and procedures, overseeing budgets and inventory, maintaining food safety and infection control practices, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring resident dietary needs and preferences are met.
The Director of Food Services provides leadership, staff development, quality assurance oversight, and operational management to maintain an efficient, resident-centered dietary program in a long-term care environment.
