Midwest Print and Distribution LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with a passion for process improvement and machine maintenance.
Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and complete repairs in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair printing industry equipment (binders, stitchers, presses, bailers, etc.)
- Perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs)
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, and staff
- Collaborate with operators and team members to improve machine performance
- Maintain a safe work environment by following codes, standards, and regulations
- Manage spare parts inventory using CMMS (order placement and receipt verification)
- Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE, LOTOTO, and Best Practices
- Work 8-hour shifts; some weekends required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills in PLC, VFD, solid-state, and relay logic
- Proficient with electrical multimeters (AC/DC, amps, ohms testing)
- Skilled in use of hand and power tools for industrial maintenance
- Ability to work with technical phone support to resolve equipment issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Printing/bindery equipment experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (Trade/Technical education preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
