Construction Superintendent.
This is a field operations position that has demonstrated experience and abilities to manage field operations in construction.
Granchelli Construction is looking for a deadline-driven Construction Superintendent to oversee our upcoming construction projects and to act as the link between the Project Manager and the Field.
Granchelli Construction Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction teams and oversee all work on site. Granchelli Construction Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on-site and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Job Summary
- Will demonstrate problem-solving ability in the field and ability to develop and foster positive relationships with clients, architects/engineers, and subcontractors.
- Will be proficient and follow project scheduling and have an understanding of construction means and methods.
- Will be competent with commercial terms of the Owner’s agreement and be able to show visible production results.
- Will be required to be compliant with all company policies and procedures.
- Will be located in the field.
- Reports to Project Manager.
- Focuses on Production while upholding Safety Standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Competent reading, writing and communication skills.
- Competent ability in reading, understanding and interpretation plans and specifications.
- Competent basic math and basic quantity take-off skills.
- OSHA 10/30 hour trained.
- Basic Computer Software (MS Office) and Smart technology skills.
- Minimum 3 years of vertical construction experience.
- Able to pass a background check
- Bilingual (Spanish) is always plus.
Basic Responsibilities & Duties
- Directs supervision of all field activities and logistics.
- Provides schedule input, management, and tracking.
- Leads all foreman meetings.
- Keeps track of JSA’s.
- Conducts beginning of shift toolbox talks.
- Schedules all compliance inspections.
- Directs supervision of self-performed work.
- Purchasing of miscellaneous materials.
- Manages general conditions and self-performed budgets.
- Directs supervision of quality control and punch list process
- Directs supervision of safety and environmental policies and reporting.
- Assists with review Submittals, Shop Drawings and Red Lines.
- Initiates Field RFI’s and passes them along to PM.
- Provides required daily project reporting on RAKEN and submit to PM for distribution.
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Attending production meetings.
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Places orders for materials and is responsible for equipment arrival/departure and materials on site.
- Follows the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
- Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Assists PM with validation of subcontractor pay applications and change order requests.
- Assists PM with managing client relationship
- Manages in a professional manner any owner, owner rep, architect, engineer and subcontractor relationships in the field.
- Ability to manage, nourish and develop a productive and safe field team.
- Has problem-solving ability to challenges in the field.
- Understands logic-based scheduling
- Participates in the development of schedules with PM
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
