Responsibilities
- Conduct climbing operations on telecom towers using appropriate safety gear and techniques to install, inspect, and repair equipment.
- Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access elevated work sites efficiently and safely.
- Perform fiber splicing, cabling, and low voltage wiring to ensure optimal network performance.
- Handle high voltage systems with strict adherence to safety protocols to maintain system integrity.
- Execute rigging and welding tasks required for tower assembly or modifications.
- Install and maintain 4G/LTE and 5G wireless equipment, ensuring seamless connectivity for end-users.
- Manage field service activities including troubleshooting network issues, replacing faulty components, and documenting work performed.
- Conduct cabling runs, fiber splicing, and testing to support telecommunication services expansion or upgrades.
- Follow all safety procedures related to climbing, welding, high voltage work, and working at heights to ensure personal safety and team well-being.
Skills
- Proven experience with climbing towers safely using harnesses and fall protection equipment.
- Skilled in operating bucket trucks and bucket lifts for elevated access tasks.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including 3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G technologies.
- Expertise in fiber splicing techniques for high-speed data transmission networks.
- Ability to handle high voltage electrical systems with safety-conscious practices.
- Proficiency in cabling installation, low voltage wiring, rigging, welding, and tower construction or maintenance.
- Excellent field service skills with a focus on troubleshooting network issues efficiently.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
