Job Description: Domestic Operations/Customer Service

Summary
The function of the Domestic Operations Associate is to assist the Domestic Operations Manager in the efficient running of the department. They will be responsible for supporting customer service, routing shipments in a cost-effective manner, entering POD’s and interacting with domestic partners. The Associate will work closely with the other department team members to achieve department goals and efficiencies.
Essential Job Duties include but not limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day movement of shipments ensuring efficient and effective carriers and routings are utilized.
- Handle client questions and requests. Escalate issues to supervisor, as required.
- Quote in the optimal manner, utilizing company tools (e.g. 7L) to determine the best solution based upon the client requirements. Ensuring to keep the client fully updated in a timely manner.
- Prioritize your day based upon a review of client quotes, shipments and duties as assigned by operations manager
- Closing of invoices ensuring revenue, cost accrual and approval are accurate at the file level and is completed within 72 business hours of POD
- Review with management on-time service reports and any client specific KPIs.
- Assist with client rollouts and distribution projects.
- Treat colleagues & clients with respect. Contribute positively and embrace the Aeronet culture.
- Interact effectively with teammates and internal partners at all levels within the organization.
- Manage all aspects of tracking to ensure shipment is moving as scheduled and update all required system milestones in Aerotrac immediately upon verification. The POD day/time must be entered within 24 business hours of the actual event.
- When a shipment deviates from the scheduled transit, communicate and attempt to rectify shipment routing in order to achieve client expectation. All ‘late’ shipments must include an explanation in Aerotrac
Job Qualifications and Skills
· High school diploma required, preferred 2-3 years of experience, but not mandatory
· Passing background/drug screening for TSA requirements
· Strong verbal and written skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency in MS Office
· Problem solving skills, must be able to handle pressure situations and multi task
· Ability to work well in flexible, dynamic work environment
· Proactive and self-starting team player
· Working Conditions
o Office environment with cubical / desks / office chairs / copy machines.
o Access to warehouse and truck docks as needed with forklifts present.
· Working hours
o This position is based upon a 40-hour work week, split equally over 5 days in 1 calendar week.
o You are required to clock out and in for your mandatory lunch break every day as required by state law and take a 15-minute break every morning and afternoon
o Your start time will be 8am unless advised differently by your supervisor

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
