Seasonal / Winter Field Technician
About the Position
Visual Landscaping and Outdoor Work is seeking a dependable Seasonal / Winter Field Technician to support increased field capacity during seasonal operations, with a primary focus on snow and ice management.
The position may also perform landscaping and property-maintenance work during non-winter periods.
Responsibilities
Assist with commercial and residential snow-removal operations.
Perform ice-management activities.
Operate snow-removal equipment after appropriate training.
Assist with pre-storm equipment and material preparation.
Follow assigned snow and ice service routes.
Assist with post-storm cleanup.
Assist with service documentation.
Perform basic equipment inspections.
Report mechanical and safety issues.
Assist with seasonal landscaping and property-maintenance work.
Load, transport, and handle materials and equipment.
Follow winter-operation and Company safety procedures.
Assist the Lead Field Supervisor and other field personnel during snow events.
Qualifications
Previous snow removal, landscaping, grounds maintenance, construction, equipment operation, or outdoor-work experience preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in cold and adverse weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Ability to safely operate equipment following training.
Reliable availability during winter weather events.
Valid driver's license preferred/required for applicable duties.
Ability to work variable schedules based on weather and operational requirements.
Willingness to cross-train in landscaping and property maintenance.
Compensation & Schedule
The position is expected to provide approximately 650 hours during the first year, depending on weather, workload, seasonal requirements, and business demand.
