Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Care Giver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents or changes in condition
- Engage in behavior management techniques to support residents with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
- Follow infection control procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing care areas regularly
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care best practices
- Ability to perform safe patient lifting practices and heavy lifting when required
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and medication administration protocols
- Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification for emergency response readiness
- Competence in home & community care settings along with group home experience
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for client transportation if needed
- Skilled in manual handling techniques and safe patient lifting practices
