POSITION TITLE: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
DEPARTMENT: Recovery Housing Program
REPORTS TO: Program Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct supervision, support, safety monitoring, accountability, and structure within the FARR-certified Level III Recovery Housing Program. This position serves as the frontline residential staff responsible for maintaining a safe, recovery-oriented environment 24 hours per day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor participant activities and facility operations.
- Conduct wellness checks and room inspections.
- Perform intake and orientation support.
- Monitor medication self-management practices.
- Document incidents and participant concerns.
- Conduct drug and alcohol screening.
- Maintain facility safety and security.
- Assist with transportation and appointments.
- Support crisis intervention activities.
- Enforce house rules and program expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Experience in behavioral health, recovery housing, residential services, corrections, security, or human services preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
- CPR/First Aid
- CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention
- Mandatory Reporter Training
COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain shift logs.
- Complete incident reports.
- Follow FARR recovery residence standards.
- Ensure participant safety.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, conduct inspections, and respond to emergencies.

- Compliance with house operations.
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
