Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing environment, foster the children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, and enjoy the variety of helping multiple classrooms. This role involves maintaining break coverage and schedules, flexibility in the day to day, and lifting children from 12 months of age to 2.5 years (roughly 40 pounds). The Toddler Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all children, including those with special education needs.
- Collaborate with both administration and teachers to create a smooth schedule for each day.
- Maintain an organized classroom that promotes learning through play and exploration.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Skills
- Effective behavior management techniques to maintain classroom order.
- Efficiently can balance a changing day to day schedule.
- Knowledge of toddler appropriate development that supports early childhood education.
- Proficient in classroom management strategies that actively engage students.
- Experience working with special education programs or students with diverse needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices to ensure the well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff members.
