Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
- Demonstrate products effectively, highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer understanding
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling additional items or services to maximize satisfaction and sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current products
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-maintained
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for helping customers is essential
- Supervising experience in a retail or grocery store environment is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math ensures smooth transaction processing
- Strong communication skills in bilingual settings are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques enhances sales effectiveness
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stock management, and customer service principles is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are key to success
