The position requires some holidays and weekends as well as some weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and administering medications.
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, laboratory results, and medical histories using veterinary terminology.
- Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and oral examinations.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during examinations or treatments.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines while adhering to aseptic techniques for patient safety.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment following veterinary critical care standards and infection control protocols.
- Contribute to animal husbandry duties by caring for animals’ basic needs and ensuring their well-being in the clinic or kennel area.
Experience
- Vet Tech Certification is REQUIRED
- Previous tech experience or animal handling background is highly desirable.
- Proven veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques.
- Strong understanding of animal physiology and veterinary critical care protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to handle animals confidently using proper restraint methods while maintaining safety for both animals and staff.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
