Thomaston Physical Therapy is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team! At TPT we are looking for someone to create a professional relationship with all patient and families involved. As well as be able to perform other PT with adults and geriatrics when needed.
Must have a Doctorate in physical therapy or equivalent Licensed Physical Therapist.
This PER- DIEM W2 position, with possibility to work towards Part-Time.
Practice is open 6:30am-7pm/Monday-Friday. You are able to see patients on the weekends to accommodate scheduling when needed.
This is in the office position.
Responsibilities Requirements:
- Show up on time to work when scheduled.
- To work with patients of all ages .
- Provide physical therapy for pediatric, orthopedics, sports, injuries, and below:
- Provide treatment and work on goals that are already created for the patient
- Provide hands-on therapy such as trigger point therapy to relieve pain and improve mobility
- Aquatic Therapy- Be able to get in the pool & assist if needed. Pool and showers is on site and in the same room for patients and providers.
- Ultrasound Therapy
- Pelvic Floor Therapy
- Torticollis
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in hospital settings, particularly in acute care environments
- Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments to each patient's needs
- Be able to work alone during times in the office, when other office personal is not at the office.
- Use EMR/EHR system, computer, do some administrative task & office staff is available during certain hours; after hours or off days you you may be required to do some admin tasks when needed.
- Be able to complete patient notes with in 24-48hours.
- Provide education to the patient, family, and the patient's care team!
- This is in the office position.
- Have or Obtain a CAQH# upon hire
- Have or Obtain a NPI 1 # upon hire
Required Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients during therapy sessions
- Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding their unique needs and challenges
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient progress and communicate with colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in a outpatient therapy particularly in acute care situations
- In-depth understanding of physiology and anatomy to provide targeted therapy based on individual patient conditions
- Excellent Bed side manner and customer service
- Use EMR/EHR system, computer, phone, administrative task & help office staff when needed.
Preferred Skills but not required:
- Vestibular rehabilitation
- Handy Therapy
- Other certifications or interests
- Pediatric patients
- Fluent in another language besides English
This position requires a licensed or doctorate in Physical Therapist or equivalent. Have a passion for helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses through personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Pay: From $80.00 per hour
