Lake Forest School Districts 67 & 115 is seeking a part-time Human Resources Assistant. The position is 4 hours per day and without benefits. The HR Administrative Assistant's home district will be D115.
Description: The Human Resources Assistant provides support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Administration Center and is responsible for duties within the Human Resources Department.
Salary Range: $22 - $27/hour. No additional benefits are associated with this position.
Work Hours: 7 - 11 am
Qualifications and Requirements
-
Relevant office experience and/or post-secondary training in Human Resources
-
Proficient use of G-Suite & Microsoft Office products
-
Familiarity with school-based human resource management information systems (Frontline, Aesop, Time & Attendance, LINQ)
-
Follow all Board of Education policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements
-
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively written and verbal
-
Ability to meet deadlines
-
Outgoing, friendly, and customer focused

Comfortable and pleasant demeanor in very busy environments

Demonstrates leadership abilities and must be a team player

Works with speed, attention to detail, consistency, and organization

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Center Receptionist Responsibilities:
-
Welcome visitors by greeting and directing them to the proper location or person
-
Answer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls from the Districts' main lines while providing general information about Districts' events and/or operations

Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries
-
Maintain security by following outlined procedures
-
Perform other clerical duties such as sorting, filing, and photocopying
Other Responsibilities:

Point of contact for morning bus communications
-
Manage pre-employment screening
-
Manage Employment Verification
-
Manage Faith's Law duties
-
Handles HR email account
-
Schedule job interviews and assist with the interview process

Organize employee benefit related events
-
Assist in preparation for compliance audits
-
Complete data entry/collection, reports, and other human resource related duties and projects as assigned
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
