Job Overview

Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Bypass and buss tables, clear dirty dishes from dining areas, and ensure proper disposal of waste to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Follow strict sanitation standards to uphold kitchen health and safety regulations, including proper manual handling of heavy items and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
- Support the kitchen team by performing light cleaning duties such as wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and sanitizing work areas regularly.
- Handle food safely during cleaning processes, ensuring compliance with food safety management protocols.
- Assist with catering or banquet setups when required, contributing to special event service excellence.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation procedures in a restaurant setting.
- Experience with food handling, dishwashing, and basic kitchen operations.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving bulky items.
- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills for working effectively within a team of culinary professionals.
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially those involving catering or banquet services.
