Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff at The Residence at Pompano Assisted Living Facility. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment while managing front desk operations, administrative tasks, and communication services that support the daily operations of the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet residents, family members, visitors, and vendors in a warm, courteous, and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and accurately.
- Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and ensure compliance with facility security protocols.
- Provide information regarding facility services, events, and resident activities.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve concerns or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Promptly use the wireless key to open doors for anyone who might be entering/leaving the property
Resident and Family Support
- Foster positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Assist residents with general requests and direct them to appropriate staff members when necessary.
- Communicate important messages accurately and promptly.
- Support resident engagement by promoting community activities and events.
Safety and Security
- Monitor facility entrances and maintain awareness of visitor traffic.
- Follow emergency procedures and assist in communication efforts during emergencies.
- Report safety concerns, incidents, or unusual activity to management immediately.
Office Operations
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and professional at all times.
- Maintain office supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Operate standard office equipment including multi-line phone systems, computers, printers, and copiers.
- Support departmental coordination and communication throughout the community.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or healthcare office experience preferred.
- Experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or hospitality environments is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Must be fluent in English).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
