We are currently seeking construction operators to join our team in a field position at multiple locations throughout Wisconsin.
Position Overview: You’ll take direction from the project foreman in operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, or grader machines at construction sites. Their duties include manipulating the equipment to move and place materials, maintaining safety standards, inspecting machines, and performing earth moving operations to project specifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous equipment operator and civil construction experience
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
- Ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions
- Demonstrate positive outlook
- Dependability: showing initiative and good follow through
- Ability to solve problems
- Being able to do general maintenance – grease-shovel tracks-clean windows
- Communication -hand signals
- Understand the machine before operating
- Reading load charts
- Attending schooling in the winter month (apprentice only) (journeyman encouraged)
- High school diploma
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
