Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team for weekends. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ready to serve foods, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness in the café environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines during food handling and preparation.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is required.
- Familiarity with Toast systems is a plus.
- Food Handler Manager Certificate is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures within the food industry.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
