TCFMH is a 501 c 3 non profit organization dedicated to accessible and affordable mental health treatment. We believe that by working in the schools, we have invaluable access to students most in need of our services. We also believe that by working in the school system, we offer our students a wholistic and multidisiplinary clinical experience. As professionals, we are a dedicated and friendly team looking to expand our team. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated therapist who has a desire to work in the school setting! The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and expertise in the school setting. Therapist must be flexible and able to manage their own schedule in the school setting...in other words, therapist must expect schedule to shift as some might describe the in-school setting as "chaotic." Job requires therapist to see case load of patients weekly, up to 25 per week. This role involves working individually with kids grades K-8. Most patients face difficulties related to trauma and living with many variables that place them in the category of "at risk youth." The Therapist will work collaboratively with students and staff to bring about positive change. Pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling or Mental Health, or Psychology and License (LPC or LCPC)-MUST BE LICENSED
- Experience working in school setting as a therapist
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with school administration, teachers, and parents!
- Ability to represent self professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills and consultation skills.
- Conflict management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
