Apex Commercial Flooring is a growing commercial flooring contractor serving customers throughout western Washington. We are looking for a dependable and professional box truck driver/delivery specialist to support our flooring installation crews by transporting and recieving materials, supplies, and equipment to job sites throughout king, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties.
POSITION: Box Truck Driver / Delivery Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
LOCATION: Kent Warehouse
DURATION & STATUS: Permanent
SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday
- Typical start time 6am - 7am, with flexibility to accommodate occasional shift variances
- Home every night
- Occasional overtime based on project needs
Pay: $24-$30 per hour DOE
Position Summary:
The Box Truck Driver / Delivery Specialist will operate a company-provided 16-foot box truck to pick up, transport, and deliver flooring materials, tools, and supplies to commercial job sites and vendor locations.
Most routes are local and concentrated in the Seattle, Renton, Kent, Bellevue, Tacoma, and surrounding areas. Drivers are home every night.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate a company 16-foot box truck.
- Pick up flooring materials, tools, equipment, and supplies from vendors and warehouses.
- Deliver materials to commercial construction job sites throughout King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties.
- Load, unload, and secure materials for safe transport.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain signatures when required.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and receipts.
- Assist with warehouse organization and inventory when not driving.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, project managers, and installation crews.
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations applicable to non-CDL.
Requirements:
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Minimum 1 year of box truck, delivery, courier, or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate a 16-foot box truck in urban and construction-site environments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and string work ethic.
- Ability to use GPS navigation, basic computer skills and telephone applicatons.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and motor vehicle record review.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering construction materials.
- Forklift experience.
- Warehouse or logistics experience.
- Familiarity with the Seattle metropolitan area.
- Experience working and around commercial construction projects.
