Growing Minds Behavioral Solutions (GMBS) is seeking compassionate, motivated, and dependable Behavior Technicians to join our growing team. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, we want to hear from you.
As a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help clients develop communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.
Whether you are beginning your career in ABA or have previous experience, GMBS is committed to providing ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy following individualized treatment plans
- Implement behavior intervention strategies designed by a supervising BCBA
- Teach communication, social, play, academic readiness, self-help, and daily living skills
- Collect accurate session data using electronic data collection systems
- Complete daily session notes and required documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, and other providers
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Attend supervision meetings, trainings, and team meetings as required
- Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for each client
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Child Development, Education, ABA, Human Services, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- RBT certification preferred but not required
- Paid training available for qualified candidates
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, patient, energetic, and eager to learn
