This position is responsible for performing regulatory testing, injury/illness triage, assessment, treatment, and wellness education for employees in a clinic setting for Seaboard Food Operations and via telephone for Animal Operations within the scope of practice as directed by WorkCare and State Guidelines.
Provides medical care to clinic patients as requested/needed, and within the onsite staff employees certification/license scope of practice following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director.
Communicate and update Occupational Health Nurse Manager and client’s Work Comp Director on all work-related injuries/illnesses.
Assist in managing, coordinating, documentation of Workers Comp claims & communicating with Client’s Work Comp Director, assisting with Injury & Illness management.
Input and update all work-related injuries/illnesses in CCMSI’s ICE data system.
Maintain Electronic Medical Record (EMR- Cority) and ensures complete & accurate documentation.
Communicate with Client’s Human Resources department and Work Comp Director to keep them well-informed of employees with work restrictions, work-related absences, etc.
Performs regulatory testing including but not limited to: Respiratory medical evaluation, spirometry, audiometry, vision tests, urine test, immunizations, heat stress.
Conduct drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the client’s substance abuse policy.
May perform First Aid, CPR, AED, and other training as necessary.
Provides preventive health education to employees as needed within scope of practice.
Maintains clinic utilization reports.
Participates in general flow of clinic operations (answers phones, checks email, medical records, scheduling, filing, copying charts, traffic control).
Maintain clinic’s medical & office supplies in collaboration with ancillary staff.
Maintains communication with the Clinic Medical Director, Regional Account Manager, & client as necessary.
Ensures that employees have appropriate return-to-work clearances.
Other duties as assigned or those duties that may be required as management deems necessary.
The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $26 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the final candidate within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
