WCS HealthCare is partnering with a large organization dedicated to serving patients with Cerebral Palsy throughout New York City. We are currently seeking two full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join a team of interdisciplinary professionals supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Job Function:
Review medical records and verify physician orders and therapist assessments before implementing treatment.
Maintain current and accurate prescriptions in compliance with applicable health regulations.
Communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist regarding patients’ cognitive, motor, and functional status, as well as equipment needs.
Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and care staff to support individualized treatment plans.
Document treatment progress clearly, objectively, and with measurable outcomes.
Provide training and education to patients, families, and care staff as needed.
Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, range of motion activities, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
