Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts with precision and creativity, adhering to established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and confections using advanced cake decorating techniques to produce visually appealing products
- Manage food handling processes ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist in packaging finished products efficiently for retail or catering purposes while maintaining presentation quality
- Support food production operations by maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands without compromising quality or safety
- Follow all food safety management protocols, including proper knife skills, ingredient handling, and storage procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating, food handling, and kitchen operations with an eye for detail and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to implement best practices in a high-volume environment
- Experience with packaging techniques suitable for baked goods and catering orders
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients or team members as needed
- Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on baked goods, catering, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
