ABOUT US
Whissel Beer Group is one of the largest and highest-performing real estate teams in the country. Formed in 2025 through the merger of Kyle Whissel’s Whissel Realty Group and Daniel Beer’s Beer Home Team — the two top-producing teams at eXp Realty — we now operate with 220+ agents and staff across five offices in San Diego and Riverside Counties (La Mesa HQ, North Park, Carlsbad, Rancho Bernardo, and Temecula). With $7 billion+ in lifetime sales, $900M+ in 2024 volume alone, over 9,000 homes sold, and 3,000+ five-star reviews, we’re ranked among RealTrends’ Best Mega Teams nationally.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Whissel Beer Group, our agents are our primary clients. Every role here — operations, marketing, and beyond — exists to give them the highest level of leverage so they can focus on their niche and grow their business.
We call this role a Transaction Manager because it goes well beyond the industry’s typical expectations of a transaction coordinator. You are the lead point of contact for every transaction from contract to close — the “orchestra conductor” directing timelines, communication, compliance, and the client experience. You interact directly with our agents and with buyers, sellers, escrow, lenders, and cooperating agents by phone, video, and text, and you own the outcome of every file. We are a large, fast-moving Southern California residential team, and this seat directly drives agent satisfaction, retention, and closed sales.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Transaction Leadership
- Own the file - lead every assigned transaction from contract to close as the single point of contact for agents, their buyers and sellers, escrow, lenders, and cooperating agents.
- Stay ahead of it - anticipate issues before they arise and drive solutions that keep every transaction on track.
Client & Agent Experience
- Make agents look like rockstars - deliver an experience so smooth and professional that their buyers and sellers refer them and come back for repeat business.
- Communicate proactively - keep agents and their clients informed and confident across phone, video, text, and email so everyone always knows where things stand.
- Handle the hard moments - resolve escalations with professionalism and sound judgment.
Timeline & Compliance
- Drive the timeline - push every deadline, contingency, and milestone to completion on time.
- Own compliance - keep every file complete, accurate, and audit-ready to broker and state standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Lead your pod - develop and delegate to an Assistant Transaction Manager so the team runs efficiently and accurately.
- Build the relationships - partner with escrow, lenders, inspectors, and cooperating agents to move deals forward.
- Raise the bar - work with Operations leadership to improve systems and leverage our AI tools to do more with less.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience as the Transaction Coordinator on residential real estate transactions in San Diego / Southern California (required).
- Deep knowledge of California contracts and CAR forms, escrow, and the full contract-to-close process.
- An outstanding communicator who builds trust quickly with agents and their clients across phone, video, text, and email.
- A service mindset - you take genuine pride in making the people you support look great.
- Exceptional organization and timeline discipline; you juggle many files at once without missing a deadline.
- Calm, sound judgment under pressure.
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems (SkySlope, Follow Up Boss, Slack, MLS, ShowingTime, SISU, and Monday).
- Self-directed and fully accountable for outcomes.
- A San Diego County resident, able to work in our office with some remote hours available.
